When it’s clear there are changes coming ahead, things can feel uncertain and destabilizing. We’re about to experience a conjunction of the planets Saturn and Pluto on January 12, 2020. When two planets are conjunct, it means that they are at the exact same degree in the same sign, and work together.

In 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, kicking off the start of World War One and leading to the collapse of three of the world’s largest empires (Austro-Hungarian, Ottoman, and Russian). By 1947, every monarchy in Europe collapsed or changed somehow, World War Two ended, and new countries of Israel, India, and East and West Pakistan were formed, bringing with them a great deal of conflict.
The conjunction on January 12 will be in Capricorn, which rules over structure, the Father, rules, discipline, and hard work. No one really knows what will change in the coming years, and typically this influence lasts far beyond the day it happens.
